Every adult in Salvador who downloads the government`s Bitcoin wallet program will receive 30 dollars via airdrop. Given recent popularity, influencers predict that it will add more than $100 million to market pressure by buying the BTC the Salvador government has to offer. Estimates of El Salvador`s adult population fluctuate significantly on Google, on-chain analyst Willy Wu wrote on Twitter. He says that $195 million worth of bitcoins have been phased out nationwide using Jack Guzman, a Yahoo financier who uses numbers for difficult calculations.
Twitter`s enthusiasm may have been somewhat timed, but local publication Prensa Latina said at a groundbreaking press conference that Salvadorans will not receive bitcoin for free unless they download a government-issued cryptocurrency program. President Berkeley also said the country`s famous Bitcoin law that recognizes BTC as a domestic fiat went into effect on September 7. The move was welcomed by the global crypto community, but the law was rejected by minority parties and the World Bank.
