Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and Square CEO Jack Dorsey agreed on twitter to discuss the bitcoin phenomenon. They agreed to have a discussion/debate at the “B Word” event. The B-Word event will take place on July 21st. It articulates the dominant history of Bitcoin, explains how organizations have responded to it and outlines Bitcoin-based initiatives to educate the parts of the network that need support.
The CEO explains on Twitter: “As you participate, you get involved. We want everyone to help sustain and scale what makes Bitcoin development ideal.” “Today is a day of training and action for this. Musk replied to Dorsey’s tweet: “Bicurious?” The Tesla CEO seemed to be commenting on what “B” stands for in the event’s name. He later tweeted: “Oh right … Bitcoin haha.” Responding to Musk, Dorsey wrote: “Bizarre! Let’s you and I have a conversation at the event. You can share all your curiosities…” No one explains the subject of the conversation, but many are delighted to see Musk talking to Dorsey about bitcoin.
In light of the discussion, Wood and Dorsey argued that Bitcoin mining could be good for the environment, and Musk argued that his activities were harmful to the environment. Cathy wood`s investment firm Ark Invest and Square published a joint report that bitcoin mining is environmentally friendly as Tesla invested $1.5 billion in bitcoin in the first quarter and started mining in March. Tesla has stopped accepting BTC for environmental reasons. Tesla will accept bitcoin again “as soon as approval of extractors showing a positive trend towards fair use of clean energy (50%) is confirmed”.
Confirming his request can be tricky, as some, including shark tank star Mark Cuban, have tried to convince Musk that Bitcoin’s environmental impact has been misunderstood. Cuban told Musk that accepting bitcoin is actually good for the environment. Elon musk spoke to North American bitcoin miners through MicroStrategy’s CEO jack dorsey .Jack dorsey asked musk to agree on speaking publicly about it,Replying to Dorsey’s suggestion of “Let’s have the talk,” Musk agreed and wrote: “For the Bitcurious? Very well then, let’s do it.” Dorsey followed up with: “Done! Will set up.”
